What is Speaker diarization?
Speaker diarization is the process of splitting an audio recording into segments by who is speaking, so a transcript can show “who said what.”

In depth
What it means.
- It answers “who spoke when,” separate from transcription (“what was said”). Good diarization is what turns a wall of text into an attributable conversation.
- Humla runs diarization offline on your Mac after a recording stops and labels each speaker with a colour-coded pill — including multiple people in the same room for in-person meetings.
