Your Copilot seat, put to work on meetings
If your company already pays for GitHub Copilot, you don't need another AI subscription for meeting notes. Humla uses the Copilot sign-in you have, so summaries, titles and chat count against your Copilot plan rather than a separate bill.
Summaries from Copilot's models
Pick GitHub Copilot under Settings → Summary and choose a model your plan includes, such as Claude or GPT. Every meeting's notes and transcript become a summary written by that model.

Chat over your meetings
Set Copilot as the chat provider too, and ask across your meeting history. Answers cite the notes they came from, so you can click through to the source.
Sign in, no key
Enter a short code on github.com and you're done. Your GitHub token is kept in the macOS Keychain.
Your org's models
Choose from the models your Copilot plan and organisation have turned on, or leave it on auto.
Audio stays local
Copilot only sees text. Record and transcribe with on-device Whisper, and no audio leaves your Mac.
Open source
The Copilot integration is in the public, MIT-licensed code, so you can read exactly what gets sent.
Questions and answers
Can I use GitHub Copilot for meeting notes?
Yes. In Humla, GitHub Copilot is a provider for meeting summaries, note titles and chat over your notes. Pick it under Settings → Summary or Settings → Chat and sign in with GitHub.
Do I need an API key?
No. You sign in with your GitHub account through a short device code. The calls count against your Copilot plan, so there's no separate API bill.
Which models can I use?
The ones your Copilot plan includes, such as Claude and GPT models. If your organisation manages Copilot, you see the models it has enabled. You can also leave the choice on auto.
Does Copilot transcribe my meetings?
No. Copilot writes summaries and answers chat questions from text. Transcription is separate: run it on-device with Whisper, or with your own OpenAI, Deepgram or Groq key.
What do I need installed?
Humla talks to Copilot through GitHub's Copilot CLI. If it's already on your Mac, Humla finds it. If not, Settings downloads it for you (about 120 MB).
Is Humla made by GitHub?
No. Humla is an independent, open-source Mac app. GitHub Copilot is a GitHub product, and you use it in Humla with your own subscription.
