HumlaGlossary
What is Meeting bot?
A meeting bot is an automated participant that joins a video call to record and transcribe it, appearing in the attendee list like another guest.
- Free, no account
- Open source, MIT
- Apple Silicon, macOS 13 or later
In depth
What it means
Most cloud notetakers (Otter, Fireflies, Read.ai) work this way, which means everyone on the call can see that it's being recorded by a third party.
Humla uses no bot: it records your Mac's own audio directly, so nothing joins the call and the other side sees no recorder.
