What is Bring your own key (BYOK)?
Bring-your-own-key means an app uses your own API key for a service, so you pay the provider directly and control the account instead of the app reselling access.

In depth
What it means.
- For AI apps it also means your data goes only to the provider you chose, on your terms, with no vendor middle-layer retaining it.
- Humla is BYOK: plug in your own OpenAI, Deepgram, or Groq key — or skip cloud entirely and run on-device — so nothing is bundled through a vendor's servers.
